Little Roy Lewis was a member of The Lewis Family, the legendary bluegrass gospel music group that retired in May 2009. During those years he was awarded membership to the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, Gospel Music Hall of Fame, International Bluegrass Music Association Hall of Fame and "Entertainer of the Year" honors by SPGMA in Nashville, TN. Instrumentally, Little Roy is one of the most talented banjo and guitar players in the music business. USA Today called Little Roy "a banjo master." Little Roy is multi-talented - he sings, plays many instruments, tells stories, and acts.

In June 2009, Little Roy teamed up musically with multi-talented daughter, Lizzy Long. Lizzy plays fiddle, guitar, banjo and autoharp and alternates between these instruments in their concerts. Her extraordinary voice shimmers with strains of America's music roots. In April 2010, Little Roy and Lizzy's song, "When We Fly," from their CD project Breaking Like Dawn, was awarded Bluegrass Song of the Year at the DOVE awards in Nashville, TN. Lizzy co-wrote and recorded the song with country artist Ty Herndon. Little Roy and Lizzy also were awarded the 2011 Dove Award for Bluegrass Song of the Year for a song Lizzy wrote called, "Mountain Top," from their Straight from the Heart of Dixie CD.
